If you find yourself sitting a lot, one small step towards more regular movement is to set a timer for every 30 minutes and stand up, jump up and down and just shake your body out a little. Rest isn't just about getting enough sleep, though that's certainly crucial. It's also about creating space in your day for downtime, for moments of calm and quiet. It's about setting boundaries and recognizing when you need to say "no" to activities or obligations that may deplete your energy further. Rest allows your body and mind to recover and rejuvenate. It's a time of stillness where healing and growth can occur. So, give yourself permission to rest, knowing that it's not only okay, but it's vital to your self-care journey.
